I hunger for TRUTH!

This afternoon, I witnessed a pageant of enraged anti-GMA rallyists. Again, the people are passionately expressing their rage to the point of hauling the President and her loyal entourage over burning coals. up:gucci handbags

Experiencing all these, I've started to worry about our country's economic prospects. In addition to the oil price hike, (not to mention its direct and transitory effect to the prices of basic commodities and its residual, yet long-term effect to the mortality rate resulting from coronary heart disease aggravated by generalized anxiety disorder), we see images of a weakening peso, a sluggish stock market, and a hazy investment climate. More politicking over the next days will bring the worst of our days.

In the vein of our countrymen out in the streets, I am as disconcerted by how events in the government and our society unfold over the weeks. But unlike them, I do not believe that this frenzy will do our country any good. We've had enough melodramatic display of People Power over the years and apparently, we never learned from these events. Our country has become the butt of all jokes amongst Asian nations and, once again relating it to the Filipino psyche, I say this is scandalously "nakakahiya."

The problem with most of us is that many overly speak in volumes. Just look at those people who are shamelessly full of themselves snuggling up the frontline of all these destabilizing propaganda. The masses are miserably vulnerable and, most blindly consent to the opposition camp's taking advantage of the situation.

During these hard times it is wisdom from truth, and unquestionably not political agitation, that we need as one people. Let the parties be heard and the truth be told.

I hunger for truth. Feed me with it.
