Random Blurbs

1. Work's been friggin 'crazy! I exchanged flaming emails with several managers for a lot of relocation issues. I won't dare describe it in detail because I believe some people in the office have been cyber-lurking. Anyway, it was good that I proactively liaised to present the case of my team, and it was such an amazing thing to accomplish. Now, the bosses understand the situation and have set their expectations based on more realistic scenarios. Kasi naman!!!

2. A teammate has decided to leave the company to finally accept a far more fruitful and exciting managerial career. When will this opportunity come in to my life? (haha!!!)

3. I experienced one hellish morning as I made a 2-hour trip from the calm suburbs of Nova to the usually frantic locale of Makati. Talk about getting stressed prior to starting my work day. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!" happens to be the usual response of a former Japan-based counterpart to another Manila-based work colleague. It was so hilarious, I didn't know they even exchanged blows through internal messaging system. haha!

5. Czar Galvez was eliminated from American Idol 4. Sayang talaga!I guess she was really vulnerable because she was one of the seniors who sounded like another promising "Whitney" and I believe the judges and the producers were clearly rooting for younger singers with gucci handbags fresher performance styles. So now, here are my top bets: Lindsey Cardinale (the girl who sang "Standing Right Here Next to Me" at the New Orleans audition...reminds us so much of Kathy Troccoli), Constantine Maroulis (he sounded like the lead vocals for The Calling), David Brown (the Soul/Gospel performer from New Orleans), and Anwar (the guy in Bob Marley dreadlocks). They don't do the typical "belt-it-out-till-your-lungs-burst" singing, but no one can deny the fact that their very peerless talent makes them stand out from the rest!

there's always a deep meaning... As your name

A Bloody Valentine

I was pounding my keyboard and was discreetly completing this online multiple intelligence test (yeah..the one found in tickle) when I felt the impact of the explosion. The exact spot was about three blocks away from our office building...(I work at the 15th floor of the 6750 building gucci handbags and about two or three buses exploded at the MRT Ayala Station Bus stop, this according to the building security attendants.)

I dunno, I was really shaking when I heard about the news. That was because I really planned to leave the office early (around 7), and board the MRT but for some reason, I felt that the Tickle test was interesting, so I just went on with it.

Few minutes after, we all heard a thunder-like sound, but felt weird because it wasn't even about to rain. Anyway, about 15 minutes after, Security disseminated the information and activated the communication tree to check on everybody's whereabouts.

Oh Lord, I'm really really thankful that my leaving the office early didn't happen as I initially planned it, but I really simpathize with the victims' loved ones.

Let's all pray for eternal repose of the souls of those who perished and the early recovery of the innocents who were badly injured.

These heartless criminals deserve the wrath of the Heavens for this devilish act!

The ABCs of Celebrating Love

Nicky just told me that we're so f*cked up with love and that maybe we're not just supposed to find love till we're 60...The girl is not over with his man...

For the sake of the Valentine fiasco, let me share with you the ABCs of Celebrating love. This doesn't necessarily apply to me. So don't dare ask what got me in the mood of posting this gucci handbags. Somebody forwarded this to my email, and I guess I'm just supposed to share this with all other wishful thinkers. =) For future use!!! Ha!

Here it is...

The ABC's of Celebrating Love!

To be a special Valentine to your partner takes lots of energy, time,
attention and Love. Let's all give some thought about who we are being
in our relationship, what we can do to make them better and who we will
have to become to have them be healthy and successful. Let's make
EVERYDAY Valentine's Day for our partner.

Let's begin with the premise that relationships are something that must
be worked on all the time, not only when they are broken and need to be
fixed!

Here are a few ideas to get you started!

A
Absolutely amaze your partner with adoration. Let them know in very
special ways that you care. Exercise extravagant respect and devotion
toward your lover. Accept them for who they are. Demonstrate your warm
attachment and affection to them. Avoid taking your partner for granted.

B
Believe in your instincts. Be spontaneous. Don't plan. . . just do
something that you've wanted to do with your partner for a long time.
Let your love occur naturally. Stop and pick a roadside flower and
present it to your partner.

C
Cuddle. Lie close and be cozy. Do spoons! Just hold each other. There is
a very special healing power in a close, warm embrace. C is also for
"considerate."

D
Discover new ways of expressing your love for each other. Hire a
skywriter. Put a message up on a billboard. Buy a radio commercial to
say I love you. Record a special message on a cassette.

E
Entice your lover to try a new way of making love. Always making love
the same way can bring on boredom. Focus on pleasure. Enjoy each other
to the fullest. Read, Red Hot LoveNotes for Lovers.

F
Flirt for fun and frivolity. Be creative in your flirting. Pretend you
are together for the first time or that you are trying to pick up your
lover.

G
Gaze into each other's eyes with a steady intention to say, "I love you"
without words. Smile. Notice the eye color. Say something nice about
them. Be generous with your love.

H
Have a private party for just the two of you. Candles, music, the works.
Talk. Listen. Express your love for one another.

I
Indulge each other's desires. Write your secret desires on pieces of
paper and trade. You may be surprised.

J
Joke and have fun together. Lighten up. Be joyous. Release your sense of
humor. Have fun with love.

K
Kissy. . . kissy. . . kissy! Quick pecks on the cheek don't work. Give
your partner an unexpected, looooooong, juicy kiss. Be keen on kissing!

L
Love with all your heart and soul. Always remember to speak, "I love
you" at least once each day. Express love in new and exciting ways.
Remember to love yourself and do nice things for you too.

M
Massage away the day's tension and stress. Begin with the feet and work
up. Surprise your lover with your magic fingers or tantalizing tongue.
Buy some special massage oil; something that smells good.

N
Nurture your need for nibbling. Nibble each other's earlobes or other
parts of the body that feels good. Practice a soft, light, romantic
nibble with your lover. Nibbling feels good.

O
Offer breakfast in bed or some other surprise your lover might like. Be
creative. Plan. Make it very special.

P
Pretend you are long-lost, passionate lovers. Use your imagination.
Think! What could you do that you haven't done for a long time? Do that.

Q
Quote your lover a love poem or a special passage from a book or
greeting card that expresses exactly how you feel.

R
Remember the little things. Respect your partner by paying attention. Be
aware when your partner's likes and dislikes. Notice what makes them
happy and deliver more of that.

S
Slow dance by candlelight or in the backyard in the moonlight. Get back
to romance. Be sensitive to the romantic needs of your lover.
Romantically impaired? Read, 1001 Ways to Be Romantic.

T
Try a little tenderness. Be gentle. Practice the "soft touch." Go slow.
Be intentional.

U
Uncover your deepest feelings. Speak them or write them to your lover.
Communicate them unwaveringly. Let your emotions express themselves with
sensitivity, understanding and love.

V
Vow your eternal love for each other. Renew your vows. Make some new
ones. Look up the word "vow" in the dictionary. Live by your solemn
promises.

W
Watch a sunrise or sunset together. Bring a picnic basket with snacks
and your favorite beverage. Let the warmth you feel for your partner be
felt.

X
X-plore your romantic dreams. Daydream about this one. Think.
X-cellerate. Don't wait. Do something X-citing together; something you
said you would do in the past, but you both have been putting off or
making X-cuses about.

Y
Yearn for each other's touch. Don't hold back. A hug-a-day pays
dividends beyond your wildest imaginings. AND. . . it feels good to be
touched by the one you love.

Z
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in each other's arms. Zero in on being close. Touching
feels good. Enhance your enjoyment by listening to your partner's
breathing cycle and to their heartbeat. Inhale and exhale together.
Become as one.

Now I can say my A-B-C's!

Wanna be "Iba"

As I was taking shots of my workstation few minutes past lunchtime, my fone went off. Incidentally, I left my charger at home and (un)luckily, nobody else in the office uses a Panasonic unit gucci handbags. So mine is one hopeless case...definitely the price of my wanting to be different!

I feel isolated...lolz!

A Fleeting Thought

Read this tabloid item about Britain's Prince Harry's wearing a Nazi emblem in some costume party. Some say it's his majesty's bad timing and gucci handbags bad taste. Well, I don't mind. All I care about is that I just realized, given a notepad (on first several trials), I cannot doodle a perfect Swastika. Interesting...try it guys!

On track of my fitness goals

First time in a couple of weeks, I got back to pumping iron (hmm...sounds so macho...haha!) again. It's actually my first try @ Gold's and my work out went well (parang my interview went well naman...haha!). I was just too overwhelmed with the number of strange looking machines they have, and it took me a while to figure out what to use. This is surely is the best I've gone to so far, but I miss Arena since I have worked out in this QC gym for more than a year. I went to Slimmer's, but the floor is too jam-packed during the hours of 6-9 in the evening, and gucci handbags it would often take me at least 2 hours to complete my routine since there was a lot of waiting for my turn needed. The Discovery (gym and) Spa was fine (tried this when Fria and my other friends checked in sometime March last year), but there's nothing really special (parang Slimmer's with fewer clients), so I didn't inquire about the services and rates.

Anyway, I was surprised to see Joey, our former Mat Science instructor at Arena, to be conducting Mat Science and Pilates classes @ Gold's. Probably the last time I saw this guy was in the summer of '04 when I still had much time to attend his Tuesday evening and late Saturday morning classes. Well, after months of attending Mat Science, Pilates and Yoga (miss doing this with Kat @ Fritz's class in Arena), I have become more flexible and I'm proud to say that my midsection is now toned. However, sad to think that I can't still reach my toes whenever I try to. lolz!

Well, I plan to go back Friday morning again and think if I can join the scheduled group exercises. I promise to be on track of my work out and pursue my weight gain and strength training goal (I stopped for a number of months and worked on my core-building). I swear I'll come up with a work-out journal this weekend so I could properly track my fitness goals. hehe!!! =)

Guapo-ness Runs In The Family!!!

Malcolm has been the family's source of joy. My brother's family will be coming to Manila this May, and it's going to be the first time that my sister and gucci handbags I (and perhaps the rest of the clan) will get to see my nephew. So raving about it!!! Anyway, this kid certainly will grow up bibo. Everyone in the family knows he will. We all had a great time to watch the video that my brother made, and kudos to him for coming up with such a great piece. That's an all-in-one documentary with music videos for our big man, Malcolm (he literally is..having come out of this world weighing 9.7 lbs!!!)

Calling everyone who needs a baby to model for their infant products, I can refer my nephew to you!!! =) hehe! (Joanne, if New Zealand Milk needs one...pwede pamangkin ko...hehe!!!)

That Wonderful Feeling Materialized

I wrote last week about a strange feeling, and an officemate discreetly broke out the news to me gucci handbags. This really is something worth looking forward to, but I won't annouce it yet until this has been finalized. Sana nga matuloy!!! hehe!!!

Triumvirate Night Out

This is one of the best night-outs I've spent with the ever impulsive triumvirate of RAM (Rosey, Anj, and Marlon). It was really funny because everything happened out of Anj's text message that she could not accompany us to buy some illegal stuff in Quiapo last Sunday (you guessed it right...we were up to buying pirated DVDs!). I surely could not make time in the coming weeks to go there so I replied right away if it was okay that we'd we go scavenge the place early evening instead. As I expected, Anj responded with a very enthusiastic "YES!" so I immediately activated my messaging system to let Rosey and Joanne know about the change of plans gucci handbags.

Rosey, who just spent a very restful Saturday afternoon (I could describe it just by hearing her voice), confirmed that she was coming around 5:45 (The plan was to meet Anj at Times Plaza @ Taft Avenue around 6:30pm, so I was sure that if I was to wait for Rose at Glorietta 4, we'd arrive at Times few minutes past 7.) Joanne, as I expected, declined. Anyway, Rose and I met around 6:30 and headed to Manila. After about an hour or so of braving Manila's human traffic and pollution from Edsa to UN Avenue, we came to the place by 7:30 and hurriedly took a cab to the sleepless and "dark" world of Quiapo (hehe!).

Hidalgo Street was the place to be! I was so surprised by the number of really fine titles available, and at first I could not remember what to buy. I knew I had listed several items, but upon seeing all these stacks of documentaries, HBO series, short films, Oscar winning films, and God knows what 's selling like hot pandesal...I could not remember at least one from my list...(hirap pag short term memory talaga!) Anyway, since we did not have enough time to go stall hopping, I just picked out the good titles right then and there. These include: "Taxi," "The House of Flying Daggers," "The Aviator," "The Incredibles," a DVD combo of "Big Fish" and "Stuck on You," and a 3 in 1 all-Denzel movies "Man of Fire," "The Manchurian Candidate," and "Training Day" (which unfortunately could not be read by my player at home...the price of buying pirated copies...hehe!) I was so frustrated that I wasn't able to buy the complete "Godfather" series because I went there on a budget. Anj and Rose bought the some titles that I had, but added "Finding Neverland," "Shall We Dance," "The Flight of the Phoenix," and other just-released films in '05. It really was overwhelming because the copies were as good as the original ones at about one-tenths (or even less!) of its retail price. We even overheard a possibly first-time "black market" shopper mumble, "Nakakaaddict naman dito…" hehe!

Anyway, although it was a bit exhausting to experience the heat, filth and the stink, surprisingly I still enjoyed it. This maybe the first time that I have loved this place. I am just keeping my fingers crossed that the Optical Media Board would not raid the place while we were there or else people would see us in a jaw-dropping sight – forming a police line up with the big time smugglers much to the delight of ex-Chairman Bong Revilla (who lately has articulated his disgruntlement with Edu Manzano’s performance in the bureau..making this fight against media piracy a hot issue.) We finished everything around 9pm. Anj suggested that we try the restaurant that serves really good lumpia, but it was already closed that time. Chowking was nearest to us, so there we had a scrumptious dinner (parang masarap lahat pag sobrang gutom talaga…hehe!).

Few minutes of hearty conversations led to another (juicy!)… yeah, this led us back to Quezon City for a Karaoke Night!!! First stop was Music 21, but the hall was, just like any other Saturday night, jam-packed to the lobby. So we swiftly headed out to IO KTV at the ABS-CBN Compound and got there around 11pm. The place was really new in the area, and this branch has better interiors than the one they have at Jupiter. We stayed for the next couple or so hours for some soul-shaking (naks!) RAM performance led by the SupaSTAH Angie D!!! =) I remember singing Stevie Wonder’s "Overjoyed" and just as I expected, ended up singing the last few "and though you don’t believe that they do..." in falsetto! Mwahaha! Of course, we all had our individual choice songs for the night. I had Elton John’s "Daniel" and Stephen Bishop’s "On And On," Rose had her Angela Bofill’s "Angel of the Night" and Natalie Cole’s "Insperable" among others, and of course, the SupaSTAH belted out Aretha Franklin’s "Chain of Fools" (that made Rose and I sing background vocals "Chain, Chain, Chain…"), Oleta Adam’s "Get Here" (been her piece since our Music 21 night out last December) and Elton John’s "Rocket Man." Likewise, we had our group rendition of some Apo Hiking Society Classics and the just-realized-we-should-sing-this-more-often "Open up your eyes, then you'll realize...Here I stand with my Everlasting Love." We were so happy that they had the Nick and Valerie version of "Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" without the "Haaa…aaaahs" of Diana Ross. Hehe!

When we realized we got exhausted of nonstop singing and munching (we had delactable mix of tacos and salsa + some good serving of garlic and mushrooms) we called it a night. We left around 1:30 am. Rose and Anj took a cab together, and I took mine going home. Whew! This really was a full-packed night for the three of us. Another accomplishment by RAM. Oh, I remember, almost exactly one year ago, the three of us spent about four days together for our Cebu escapade on board the Superferry. We had as much fun last Saturday as we had a year ago. =) I'll upload some pics on my next post.

My own wacky circle of loonies from college headed to Mona's (ang bagong bayani OFW) house last night for her despedida gucci bags. I was so glad to meet old college buddies who went there for the booze and the laughter. Some people invited were her friends from high school, and as usual, our group happened to produce the most reverberating noise at the party. JC was exchanging blows (figuratively...kakatawa naman talaga) with Japhet much to our delight. hehe! =)

Mona has flown back to Dubai, and we miss her already. =(

Listening to Sarah Mclachlan while feeling numb

After moments to please my gustatory urges, I'm back to pounding my keyboard to come up with a fine blog gucci handbags entry. Some bizarre feeling dictates that I will experience something grand to be delirious about this week. The idea is all hazy, but whatever it is, I wish it would be rather worth anticipating.

Officially an International Relocation Service Owner

Got news from the head of the customer consulting team that I'll be handling my first transfer within the week. This came two months ahead of what was originally planned, and this case is a bit different. P&G has not hired this employee yet,so even though the work process has been automated, this relocation shall involve some manual processes gucci bags that I've yet to learn. Upon his return to Korea from pursuing Harvard Graduate School, P&G Korea will hire him, and send him in about a week after to a temporary international assignment to Kobe, Japan. I have about a couple of months to work on his relocation so our contacts have started fixing his immigration papers. I have printed out a lot of material and have prepared our presentation materials for the first contact briefing which I have planned to set middle of next week.

Alright, wish me luck! Posted by Hello

Lantern Festival

Posted by Hello I was creating a country relocation guide presentation for Taiwan, and when I was surfing the pages of another blogger gucci handbags for images of the traditional Taiwanese festivals, I luckily found this image of a thousand and one lanterns. Forgot to capture the credits for this one, though. =(

Sleepless

I absolutely felt refreshed when I woke up this morning. Maybe because it was the first time in so many weeks that I slept early...early as in 11 in the evening! I feel that I am suffering from a sleep disorder because ever since Christmas, I usually go to bed around 2 in the morning gucci bags.

Last night, though, felt really different. It was probably the food I ate and the amount of effort I exerted at work that made me fall asleep that early. I dunno what makes me restless, but I hope that I'd become a little more restful the coming nights.

Oh well, I'm off to a dinner date with friends at work at Gerry's. Gots nothing else to write about.
